Every few months, we rally the troops and invade our community together. Our goal is to ignite a missional lifestyle within people at The Avenue by taking a day and working together on projects that train members to be missional. We plan several projects that help us meet the people in our community, give encouragement to those who have existing relationships, and create opportunities for everyone in the church to be missional! Some of our projects include: - House cleanups
- Assembling cookie mixes for Avenue families and giving them a list of how to be missional with the cookies they bake
- Meeting neighbors at the dog park
- Self-defense classes
- Thanksgiving food drive
- Goodie baskets for teachers
- Neighborhood leaf raking
What makes each project we do missional is that we either have an existing relationship with the people we are serving, or we are engaged in an activity that is opening up doors to new relationships. Our projects help teach others how to be missional and empower others in the church.
