With the snow and ice season approaching us, here are The Avenue's policies on weather-related cancellations:
- Assume we're on. Services will continue to be held as-scheduled when bad weather strikes. We ask that all families use their own discretion about the ability to travel safely.
- Avenue Kids and Students at 9:30 will be canceled when there is significant snow or ice accumulation. We will communicate the cancellation on our website and via email.
- In the event that Avenue Kids or Students is canceled, we will still offer childcare for children birth through three years during service. We will have the 4s & 5s class attend the adult services.
- We will regularly communicate via our website and email when inclement weather strikes. If you have questions about cancellations you may call Danielle at (816) 729-7760. In the rare event that we cancel services, we will communicate this announcement on our website and make a posting on KMBC Channel 9 News.
- For individual Life Groups during the week, each Life Group leader will contact members about the status of their group
